summer dayz

Its a baby boom! SO many friends are pregnant, or have just had a baby... its awesome! Welcome to the best club ever girls!! This summer is going great with little B. Hes 10wks old...wow, how did that happen so fast??! Hes been swimming 5 times now, and is at the point where I almost want to let go for a second...but haven't. I think he may inhale too soon, thats no fun. But he lays in the water and kicks and flaps, he LOVES it! We are are doing our daily walks to Mt Tabor, and we play on the swing and the slide, hes so interested in everything, and loves looking up at the huge trees. Hes such a good baby! Chaco and Ponsu are perfect gentlemen, and rock the dog park like pros! Old man Indica stays behind these days, as his hind end doesn't work like he thinks it does and he finds himself in awkward predicaments. He keeps watch over the house while we're out. Brayden is all smiles and furrowed concentrative brows. The drool has unleashed! Could he be teething already? He is trying to have full on coo-filled conversations with us and certain favorite toys. Schedules are pretty much on again off again. Naps are really anywhere but his crib, and motion is the potion that works best. He loves watching the fish in our pond and is mesmerized by the dogs and cat. Hes busy busy busy when hes awake! I'm anticipating this time being the easiest with him cause once hes mobile....whooo, its gonna be all about keeping up! Hes changing every day, and its just so amazing and fun to watch as he wraps his brain around the big world laying out in front of him. The weather couldn't be more perfect, yay!

Tee-Hee!!

Aren't these the best moments..... hee-hee-hee!!
love you guys xxx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pssst...its a baby Sasha.
Hi Pablo, pretty boy!

We went to Nana's house for a sleepover, (Cookie/Papa/Dad was in Alaska for 10 days, we missed him, but got a visit on his way back into town). First intro to the horses!! Yay... Brayden loved it and the horses were very curious to meet the new addition.

Blueberries... mmmmm. Brayden had his eye on the good ones....

What a perfect Oregon summer! The weather has been outstanding, this is why I put up with the gloom and drizzle the other 9 months out of the year. The weather has just been perfect, getting out and enjoying it is a must, daily! I'm feeling more content in my roll as "mom." Brayden and I are starting to get somewhat of a routine down...which fluctuates often according to B...but apparently he is too young to have attitude...hmmm...we'll see. Its really going sooo great tho...somewhat of a naptime schedule, awake time and feeding all becoming more predictable and clockwork. and I'm having so much fun, every day is better and better.
Brayden you are my amazing little squirt and are so much fun! Your cheeks are getting ever bigger, and some extra chub on your little legs and arms are turning you into such a real "baby!" You have such a great social personality and LOVE being around lots of people. You're almost more content at parties being passed around than at home. You have really suddenly turned a corner...you are "there"...becoming really aware of your surroundings now. Watching patterns, and objects, making great eye contact, and turning your head towards sounds and movements to great them with that huge grin that I live for everyday!! Nights are fantastic...you still get hungry sometime between 3am-5am...but are going down at 9pm without anything but a kiss and a "night-night, I love you" rarely a fuss. You are growing out of all of my favorite outfits, only to find that you have a whole new round of attire to swim in, until they fit you better... baby clothes are a little too fun for mama. You are starting to drool a little, still cooing and trying to figure out how your voice and mouth work together, its so fun to watch and listen. You love farty and smacky sounds, and being outside. The top 5 things to get a smile: "i love you", "hi", "chin-chin-chin-chin-chin" while tickling your chin, "mammamamamma", wide eyes and huge grin. You're still not too down with "tummy time" but we're gettin' there. you're the sparkle in my eye. xxx!
Love Auntie Ali!!!John (Shea's dad) and Brayden at Caitlin's B-day Party.

Sadly, Shea,(Adam's long time friend/"brother") passed away from alcohol poisoning. Our hearts go out to his family, he will be terribly missed. xxx

The 4th of July family coast trip

I was worried you'd be afraid of the constant explosions, fires, smoke, and crazy flittering lights of all the fireworks going off in the "the war zone" of seaside beach on the 4th....Look how terrified you were poor little guy!
Yea-ahh
Nanna and Papa "Cookie"

Who knew we had a boat dog! He LOVED it.
Hoooo...Uncle Corey!!!

What a blast! The first time my whole immediate family has been at the beach house all at the same time. We watched the insane war-like display of fireworks in Seaside, had a BBQ, went kayaking and relaxed a lot. Brayden got passed around, and it was nice for Adam and I to be able to get away and play a little. A really fun trip!! ... maybe a new tradition???

Life is so sweet these days. The weather is wonderful, Brayden is spectacular, and I am about as happy as I get, and feel so lucky. Adam is loving his new job with Metke. My mom has been wonderful, visiting once a week for a sleep over. Thanks so much "Nanna" for helping sooo much in every way! We all appreciate it tons and really look forward to your visits, you are the BEST! My painting has been on hold since my new "hobby" has arrived, but I am hoping to pick it back up here soon. Oregon summers are great, its so nice to be surrounded by such awesome friends and family, life is good.
Brayden you are almost 6 wks old, I can't believe how much you've changed and grown already. You are smiling, and cooing, and "ah-gooing". You love your little friends on your mobile over your crib and are content to smile at and talk to them for long periods of time. Your favorite time is on your changing table, especially in the mornings. Where you get to lay in all your glory, getting fresh, and gazing out the window. You smile sooo big and talk to mama lots with "aahhs", "ooohs", and "Ahh-goos" it melts my heart every time, I can't get enough! You are sleeping for good chunks of time, usually up at 3am and again at 6am, then 3-4 long naps during the day, with lots of eating, farting, smiling, fussing, pooping, gazing, farting and more sleeping and farting in between. you make every minute full, and we love you sooooo much!!!

snoooozer

Sweet sleepy Brayden....you are such a sprawler...makes me smile

Swimming!!!!

"I don't know about this guys......."

"ooooooh....thats kinda niiice..."
"thanks grams and gramps!"

*** Well Brayden had his first swimming experience yesterday at great Gram and Gramp's swimming pool! So fun. it was 100 degrees and Adam and I had a blast too. Little B wasn't too sure at first and made a huge frown the first foot dunk. He slowly started to realize the water wasn't so bad in daddy's arms and we got him in to his waist. No crying at all, what a good boy, I think he had fun! and Grams held him while Adam and I cooled off, not bad...not bad at all. yay summer!!!

milestones

is that gas?? I don't think so. This past wk Brayden has smiled multiple times where it just seems a little too consistent to be gas. Hes likin' the big breath before a tickle, too cute! Also yesterday morning, after getting B up and brining him into bed with us, we put him on his tummy and for a fleeting moment he lifted his head high up, snorted and grunted with the effort then proceeded to head bang his face into the mattress, never quite getting the height again...I've been told hes advanced. This is beginning to be the on going joke..."he'd just so advanced!"
